Curriculum consulting

Designing the curriculum, not only delivering it. Course and unit design, learning outcomes, and reviewing existing material for what it gets wrong about Indigenous knowledge. Built on course design at Niagara College and work with Ontario school boards since 2016. Available as a project or an ongoing advisory arrangement.

Program development

Building a programme from nothing and making it survive. Community seed libraries, land-based learning, justice diversion, cooperative formation — structure, governance, protocols and the funding case. Drawn from directing the Three Fires Community Justice Program and establishing Ga Gitigemi Gamik.

Professional development

PD days for staff teams, boards and faculty — aligned to Indigenous rights and knowledge systems rather than bolted on beside them.

Food sovereignty & policy

Advising on Indigenous food sovereignty, FPIC and UNDRIP where they meet agricultural policy — grounded in work as North American Focal Point for the CSIPM at the UN Committee on World Food Security, and with La Via Campesina, the National Farmers Union and Food Secure Canada.

Seed rematriation & community seed libraries

Setting up seed libraries, returning varieties to the communities they came from, and building the protocols that keep that relationship intact afterward.

Energy sovereignty & community solar

Solar for remote and northern sites, taught and advised by someone who has built one. Ga Gitigemi Gamik has run on solar since the 2024 build, and Celeste holds a Solar Energy Trainer certification. Power and food are the same self-determination argument, and communities are usually solving both at once.

Mapping your work to the SDGs

Funders increasingly ask how a project aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and most community organizations have no way to answer. Celeste is certified in SDG advocacy and training and has done this for Ga Gitigemi Gamik — the poster is on the resources page. Available as a session or as done-for-you work on your own funding case.
